Great story, Fox. Just as the old adage says about the "quiet" ones or the "nice looking" ones, people will always surprise you. And I will e ho what Pete said. Your stories are great and fun to read because you treat your characters like friends at a party. Get to know them. Find out how they first met. Then just keep building the development until all the clothes are off and all the surfaces are wet! 😋
I never had the opportunity to live in an apartment once I graduated from college so never had this experience. You always hear but I certainly would have loved to experience it.
One of the best things about your stories, Fox is that you create a nice slow buildup to what you know will be coming. You make us wait, tease a bit, piquing our interest to a point where you feel like saying, hurry up, will you, but you don't. This, in turn, makes it a so much more satisfying and hot read that is so typically you. There are some good writers on the Substack and elsewhere and then we have some great writers, and I'm sure, a lot of your readers will agree is you. The subject of "noisy" neighbours will probably resonate with some of them, I've had them and the feelings of resentment and a little bit of jealousy towards them were pitched perfectly here as was the complete change of attitude by Karl when he got a very welcome thank you for administering the first aid. Unfortunately, I've not had the thank you part, as yet, but hoping. The whole passage cleverly done.
Manifesting a neighbour like this 😅😏
🔥🔥🔥😈
